Fraudulent Email Alert - Better Business Bureau (BBB)
It has come to our attention that some Members are receiving fraudulent e-mails regarding a false complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and Redwood Credit Union (RCU). Please note that this is a fraudulent e-mail and is not generated by Redwood Credit Union nor by the Better Business Bureau.
The e-mail references a complaint claim case and requests that the recipient click on a link to download a copy of the complaint form; however, the link may be a form of spyware or malicious code intended to collect personal or confidential information from the recipient computer. Do not click on the link contained in this e-mail; it is fraudulent.

What to do if you have received this e-mail:
- DO NOT click on the link contained in the e-mail
- DELETE the e-mail, and then delete it from your trash/recycle bin
- For additional security, you may want to run anti-virus and anti-spyware software to ensure that no potentially malicious files exist on your computer
- What to do if you have already clicked on the fraudulent link:
- DELETE the e-mail, and then delete it from your trash/recycle bin
- Run anti-virus and anti-spyware software on your computer to remove any potentially malicious programs that may have been contained in the link
- Remember:
- Do not click on a link in any suspect email
- Keep your operating system and web browser patched along with running an anti-virus system with up-to-date definitions
- Do not open an attachment to an unsolicited email unless you have verified the source
